So, I happened to pick up Mario Galaxy today after a small exchange at Gamestop of an ill fated gift attempt. I sat down for aobut two and a half hours straight (exactly that time, according to my Wii message). And holy shit, this game’s good.
woycheck: @sorgatron It rocks.
My sentiments exactly, Have a Good Sandwich guy! (go buy the man’s t-shirts, will ya?)
So I stepped back and let my bro play. And just dropped mario in some search engines. For kicks. (and because I don’t use Flock’s Media bar enough). Astonishment ensues!
First I find this video, and several related, of a Mario Anime:
Why in the world is this not translated over here? Easy money, Nintendo!
Then I start hitting the good ol’ Wikipedia and find “King Koopa’s Kool Kartoons“. Surely this a joke. Or another horrible attempt at a show, as was the Super Mario Challenge. But no…

The show is beautifully elaborated on, thanks to good ol’ RetroJunk. You need to read this to believe it..
Thank you Youtube. I found the opening..
A bit posting it due to the sky falling, but here’s my interview with Spek One, one of J.East’s homies from way back in California.
Be sure to scope out his Myspace page, and download his free album, “Death of a Salesman”.
Why not, it’s the in thing to do. I hope to do maybe a couple more of these, but the easiest thing to start with is the year in wrestling and what stuck out to me. Here’s some things that I’ve seen publicly and personally in the wrestling world…
The year of the injury: Not that it is anything new, but much of this year was dictated by injuries int he WWE. And lets face it, that’s what we all watch. Just look at the list.
A Degeneration X/Rated RKO feud was stopped bidstream when Triple H blew another quad in January, not to return until SummerSlam in August.
Edge’s reign as rightful champion on Smackdown started thanks to an injury by Undertaker, and ended due to his own injury just a few short months later.
Pittsburgh is wrestling town: Part 1 – How indy took over my life Late last year, I was
introduced to IWC officially by heading out to see a show. This year, I hit every show I was physically able to. On one hand, you get to see some classic TNA and indy workers: Sandman, Samoa Joe, Claudio, Chris Hero, AJ Styles, Abyss, etc. But then you find the match of the year candidates come from talent from the local and indy circuits. Delerious, Babyface Fire, the Gambinos, Ray Rowe, Sexual Harassment, Davey Richards, John McChesney, Larry Sweeney. And IWC has kept storylines interesting and compelling as it can be, given its month to month shows. And big shows like the latest A Call to Arms, Night of Legends, Super Indy and Basebrawl just brought some big show feel to the norm.
Pittsburgh is wrestling town: Part 2 – Because it wreaks of awesomenss. Oh yeah, and Edge won the World title in Pittsburgh this year. Twice.
The Mayhem Brought it. This was a landmark year for our little corner of internet podcasting. We had two out of town/country visitors in the form of our fans Vimal (via London), and Mad Mike (via NYC). That we’ve been that enjoyable that people want to pack on the miles to visit us. I just hope they’re not disappointed when they see the “studio”.
And the interviews opened up. We had Marshal Gambino, Jimmy Demarco, and Michael Facade in the studio this year. IWC promoter Norm Conners, Sweet N Sour Larry Sweeney, Eric Young from TNA, Brent Albright (formley WWE’s Gunner Scott), and nationwide columnist, Professor Wrestling himself.
The fans became even more of an integral part of the show. Reacting the the chatroom and to the webcam we’ve setup. Fantastic calls to our voicemail, and some directly to the show, that entertain us as much as our audience. The fans have become characters themselves…
RWF is here. Another year of Sorgstocks, Sauce Storm, and other random appearances by
our rag tag band of merry backyard wrestlers are bringing us further along and gaining some respect amongst our underground peers. This year we introduced the Mexican Border Matches, invaded others, put together the first anthology DVD, and pushed the envelope for each one of us this year.
But lets just face it. This shit is just fun to do…
Matches of the year
Gambinos vs BFF: Steel Cage: A Call to Arms Controlled Chaos
It still stole the show on a night where every match made the crowd pop. Fantastic work
Any 4 team scramble in IWC this year
Always entertaining and full of mayhem
Samoa Joe vs Ray Rowe (Summer Sizzler )
Dream match for IWC fans. Two tough guys going at it. (yet to see the rematch)
Money in the Bank (WrestleMania 23)
Always the show steeler, and even better with Punk, Kennedy, Edge, and both Hardys in the fray.
Triple H’s series of three matches against Randy Orton and Umaga (No Mercy)
In the wake of Cena’s injury, we didn’t know what would happen. And we didn’t know who would have the title until the final bell of the night. That’s how you get us interested…
Kaz vs Christian Cage Ladder Match (some PPV)
A great ladder match in a company that overuses its gimmicks. Go figure.
Shawn Michael vs John Cena (on RAW)
The match in England that went almost an hour and proved that you can still have matches like this today and not be named Ric Flair.
Oh, and fuck Taker/Batista named as match of the year in WWE Magazine. That’s bullshit…
I’m sure there’s much I missed. but that’s what stuck out for me this year. Hit me with your best of lists!
Couldn’t pass up on this piece about the lovely Missfit’s near-hometown of Olean, NY and their battle with Bradford, PA from the Daily Show, crica 2000.
Yeh…so we got home last night, started playing with our new toys and settling in. Then it happened. A toilet overflow that wouldn’t stop as the upstairs bathroom flooded until we had to turn the valve off…a half inch of water in the bathroom…and the leaking began. Spanning a portion of both the dining and living rooms.
In a panic, we moved everything we could. Got trash cans, buckets, and towels to catch it all. And figured that was it, let it run its course. The remainder of the water was in the ceiling and needed to drain. Then, about 45 minutes later, as we went to sleep…
An over 6 foot wide hole was in my ceiling; and on my floor. It crashed onto the floor, still dripping around the hole. New xbox game cases smashed, power strips and wires covered in “mud” from the wall, mud on the front of my tv that was a gift last Christmas from work. Thankfully, I moved the xbox, worrying of it possibly being dripped on. It would have been decimated where it was.
Our insurance is notified, the adjuster will be here in the morning…The painful process of cleanup and repair begins…
I just wanted to play my Xbox…..
Back from the cold white north this evening. And hoping you all had a Merry Christmas. Had time with your families, loved all you presents.
I started off pretty well with the Sorg Clan, of course. And head up to New York for the big Stone family Christmas. Now, I’m sure I’ve talked about this before, but this has to be, without a doubt, one of the most festive, and massive family gatherings anyone has. I’ve been going to these for maybe 7 years, and I still don’t know half the damn people there. I hear estimates of maybe 60 kids and parents. All related in some fashion.
The most surreal experience I had was, walking between Missy’s parents and Grandmother’s houses. I started walking from spot to spot, not taking much notice, than caught this figure out of the corner of my eye, just off the path. I found Santa Claus. Standing in the snow. Looking at me. I don’t know if I initially passed him off as just another of the massive decorative display from out front. But I was on the wrong side of the house to see any of them. So after a moment of bewilderment, I helped the gentle St. Nick into the house. And Christmas continued as usual.
That’s Sorg’s Christmas Story…
Yep, doing the north thing again for Christmas. This time, spending some equal time between my Dad’s in Jamestown, PA and Missy’s in Little Gennesee, NY.
And I have to say, that had to have been the best time I’ve had at home for a good while. We went up, had a fairly good Christmas dinner, opened presents, drank, hung out. Plus, Saturday morning, got to see my nephew with first place in his first wrestling tournement in Mercer. That kid’s going to do some good things on the mats.
So now I’m up on a very flooded New York territory, with rivers running over all over. And preparing myself for the mass family Christmas they love to have up here.
I’ll be rarely on due to the lack of high speed, so till then, everyone have a Merry Christmas!
Because I wasn’t truely in the Christmas spirit until I heard this on this week’s MacBreak, I share with you…the Star Wars Christmas Special…
Got some crazy shit going on at work with deadlines and such. Everything looked on point until about Friday at 4:55 PM. Then it got worse Monday, and shit started dropping that effected everyone in the office in some degree. Nuts.
SO, here’s some video action for you.
First, a video dropped to me from Fatherspoon himself. Think what you will, it’s Chairshots for Jesus!
And second, here’s some video from the Very Mayhem Christmas special from last night…
And for why the hell not. Some old ass footage. Circa 1999? 2000 maybe? From some hanging out. Witness: the early talents of Sorg of CRAP and Chachi/8-Bit of Nerdz Eatin Shroomz…
The entire Mayhem Crew (and even Missfit!) are in the studio to celebrate Christmas the only way they know how…
Part 1 The Crew has a gift exchange, talk about their live experiences at Armageddon, and all around spread some Christams cheer, with special guest, Dusty Rhodes?
Part 2 We hit fan mail and do some Mayhem Caroling for our fans! Oh the agony.
