The crew is joined by the Big Daddy of Destruction, J-Rocc, to discuss his recent controversy surrounding the Jake “The Snake” Roberts incident that has been all over the internet. Then we get a little more formal when Stoke Monkey goes head to head with Sorgatron ’08 himself, and we hit all of the fan mail and hear from the Macho Man on his VP run.

The Stock Market is Magical
The Stock Market is Mystical
The Stock Market is not something you can see (well, that’s a lie). The stock market isn’t something you can hold in your hand. It’s like a faith based money system.
I don’t understand it. You most likely don’t get it. Probably 95% of the country doesn’t understand it. I sat between a programmer and an entrepreneur a few weeks ago and listened to a conversation that literally made my head spin. I at least get programming. And I know enough about it that I could do it, but choose not to.
But anyways. Even our politicians can’t completely grasp what is going on. This has been admitted. And the $700 Billion? A number out of the air. We wanted a plan to supplant the failing businesses, reward the shitty CEO’s, and, I’m sure, funnel money into pockets of people that have no interest int he greater good. And no attempt for review of this process? That’s unamerican.
I have to agree with Mr. Dvorak on No Agenda. This sounds like a treasonous move, and thank you, House, for striking it down.
Can the average person even fathom almost a Trillion dollars? After years, and years of being told how much in debt we are, do we even care? Is there enough care when we hear this? Does the public care? No, we’re conditioned not to anymore, just like the softening ups and downs of the rising gas prices.
The Market plummeted? Of course. It probably would have anyways with it’s magical ways. Maybe this is the kick in the ass this country needed to realize how far down the hole we’ve been going, and a perfect summation of the direction this administration has been taking us.
So now’s a good time to decide if you want “The Change you Need” or the “Change that’s On It’s Way” or whatever stupid tag line that isn’t going to mean crap next year…
It’s finally that time where Deface Marketing is going to hit Con on the Cob from all sides!!
The Wrestling Mayhem Show will be opening up with a seminar entitled “The Evolution of a Podcast” to discuss the trials and growth of WMS much like they’ve done at Podcamp Pittsburgh the last two years.
Then, Nerdz Eatin Shroomz will be teaming up with emcee lb to rock the stage Friday at 3:00 PM and Saturday at 1:30 PM.
CRAP will also be performing, throwing CRAP, and Stoke Monkey in tow, to show the nerdcore how we do it Friday at 6:00 PM and Saturday at 10:15 PM.
And be sure to swing by the Deface Marketing booth where we will be representing all of the above groups, and WesternPAJuggalos.com.
There are plenty of other groups and comedians there we can’t wait to see in action, including Dual Core, Worm Quartet, Seamonkey, and those crazy assholes from the Awful Show we interviewed a couple months back.

“The difference between talking out of your ass between writing and video is that one’s a blogger, and the other is a paid pundit. Someone give me a camera.”

First of all, before getting into the fun stuff, I do have to disclose that Sorgatron was invited to tonight’s debatesin Mississippi, but could not attend due to a personal banking crisis. But I would like to also point out that Stoke Monkey was also declined to attend due to something called a “Simian Seance Meeting for New Jersey’s Proliferation” Whatever that means.
So the election. I was happy to see not talk of flipfloppers, or curious bulge in the back of the candidates that made 2004 suspect. Instead with had a soule brother and a pasty white dude. So things look excitedly different then…forever!
Of course we hit the economy, talking about numbers and figures that will make the common folks’ head spin. Seriously, the common American doesn’t understand just exactly what happened last Monday. All they know is that they might lose their house, and we’re asking for $700 Billion of their money to fix it. The president didn’t make things better with his speech. We’re all too busy counting pennies to try to be able to drive to work to pay for more overpriced gas and a mortgage that may default under their feet. The only real change any of this means that can be seen? No more of those clever WaMu commercials since they were purchased over the whole affair, at least that I would guess.
Foreign affairs. We’re aparently afraid of everyone again. Obama wants us to go to the source, Afganastan. Y’know where Osama is. Y’know, the plan that makes sense with everything we’d been told about 9/11. You know, the big fate changing day some 7 years ago? Thanks for weakening our forces. Thanks to the vulnerability of distributing our forces all across Iraq, leaving us open to threats of and agressive Russa, a quizzicle North Korea (just because their 3 inches shorter than South Koreans..), and a scary large China that we owe a lot of money. What’s the plan? Have Palin throw rocks at Russia from her house?
Anyways, most of the night consisted of finger pointing, and instances of questionable fact checking. Both candidates’ plans will add to a deficet. McCain had a lot of touching stories, including one about Roosevelt. Too bad the facts were wrong. Wonder about those other stories now.
So WWSD? (What Would Sorgatron Do?) Lets not talk economics. Sorgatron would hire an accountant. Because the President is not an accountant, and he’s handing out money we don’t have left and right. Foreign policy? Talk talk talk. The dialog needs to open up. Sorgatron is not apposed to playing putt putt with Putin.
Stay tuned. I’m just getting warmed up. And be sure to watch my twitter during instances such as these debates. I’m sure to be fairly vocal. I’ve held my tounge for a good long time. Lets have some fun with this.
Once again, Miss Papuga, YOUR TEACHER, has hit us with another homework assignment. So what’s in this girl’s junk drawer?

Bella opened up her drawer to look for that ring she wasn’t so sure she still had. Could it still be there? Amongst all of these trinkets? She opens the door to a cavalcade or jewelry, tickets, and mementos.
Her hands rustle through, pushing aside the smattering of tickets from concerts long by. Some Barry Manilow and Sting tours at stadiums. Even some crazy shows from her “wilder days” of Green Day, Marylin Manson, and scores of punk and metal bands no one would remember from dive bars and clubs around the city. She stops for a minute on a Burger King toy from the Hunchback of Notre Dame she was given on a first date with a boyfriend that couldn’t afford much on his table bussing salary at 16. The thought brought her back to a flush of memories of the highs, and inevitable falling out of that relationship and she thinks to herself that she would never have traded those memories for the world. She sets aside more mini-furbies and small furry kittens, she always loved kittens, and finally finds it there.
Her 1998 class ring. Sitting atop a picture from that last summer with her friends. She hadn’t seen most of them for several years. The last when she moved to California for a job offer she just couldn’t refuse three years ago. Now, she can go back to that reunion whole again and see what life has brought everyone else since.
This week, in leiu of of the usual Friday5, Dawn posted her own Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 flavored questions for all.
1. What brought you to Social Media and what keeps you hanging around?
I’ve worked on projects of a “social” nature since 2001 with the birth of WesternPAJuggalos.com (then AIP Juggalos). I’ve always looked for new things to keep the site fresh and get people to participate. Streaming radio led to my first Podcast, and everything fell into place from their via Podcamps, meeting new people, etc.
2. Which social networking tool gives you the shakes when it’s not updated or is experiencing down time? (Podcasts, Blogs, Micro-blogging, etc)
If nothing else, one thing I got from my classes at the Art Institute was “content is key”. While some things, like the CRAP site, may not get as much action due to a lack of shows or news, but sites like WPAJ, or the Wrestling Mayhem Show, have to have something going on all the time to keep people coming back and building that audience, since they’re a little more focused than just being social.
3. What kind of insight could you offer to others on a topic at PCPGH3? If none, then what do you most want to hear more about?
It’s all about connecting. And doing what we do with all of these podcasts and websites has created connections you may never dream could happen. I’ve had the chance to talk with people in the music and wrestling businesses, both of which I grew up admiring and being entertained by. Now, I get to talk to them like any other person. Also, hidden talents can often come out if you just try. When I started, I often said I hate my own voice, and now I have no problem getting on a microphone in a studio, or on stage, and just the words flow out.
Podcamp is a great chance to hear how everyone else has figured out, and what’s new I should be paying attention to. It’s something different to hear this in a conversation in person than just reading some article on a Cnet or Engadget about what I should be keeping an eye out for. That’s why our sessions are just about “how we did it” with the Mayhem Show.
Yeh, I kind of started using the .com months ago, and had been meaning to do a. the banner change, and b. this post, and haven’t gotten to it due to business, but here it is…
Now, I mentioned my original blog in this week’s I Remember, I ended up obtaining sirpsychosexy.net after taking the Red Hot Chili Peppers song as an online handle (hence “spsjuggalo” on many of my old accounts. So I’ve had this .net a long time. Hell, I started with a free NameZero account with that stupid ad banner I figured out how to javascript around to get rid of. A couple of transfers later, here we are.
So why Sorgatron? I sort of feel silly using the old .net name for my current dealings. It was time for something new, and I held on for lack of a better identity. Leave it to the Wrestling Mayhem Show crew for lending me this name over the evolution of the show the last two and a half years. I finally submitted to this with Sorgatron08.com, my “campaign” headquarters. So I decided to do the conversion here, on the home of all things Sorgatron. And, of course, there are plenty of “Mike Sorg’s” on the internet. Some even in very similar fields as I am. Even with mikesorg.com, I’ve tried to keep things a little different in presenting my portfolio.
It’s all about identity, and this is my hand in it.
This week, I found something that wasn’t exactly a video, but I came back across when doing the I Remember post from late last night. So I figured it would be worth it to skip a Podcamp Pittsburgh related post to present to you… CD BOY!!!!

- More of the Adventures of CD Boy can be found here…
- I was so happy to learn the magic of animated gifs.
- This would be about 8 or 9 years old.
- Check out that sweet Fugitive poster in the background.
- I still have all of those CDs
- This all stems from my collection of AOL and other ISP discs that you would find in every mailbox, magazine, and mailer at the time. I had stacks and started sticking them to my wall and ceiling with sticky tack. Somehow, we inspired this…
I remember this show by CNET on the Sci fi Channel
I remember our second computer, and IBM Aptiva C66 from Radio Shack
I remember hooking up to the internet for the first time
I remember my first website being so sparse
I remember starting something that would later be called “blogging” nearly ten years later
I remember posting pictures in high school that are still online
I remember postage stamp, pixelated videos
I remember taking all night to download a couple of songs off of something called Napster
I remember ICQ and not wanting to move to AIM
I remember Quake and Quake 2 dominating online
I remember Khali being the shit to get games connected
I remember feeling the difference between 28.8 and the firmware upgrade to 33.6
I remember the “massive” upgrade to 56k, and the standard war between K56flex and v.90 (if I recall correctly)
I remember getting a dual modem hooked up to two phone lines for “blazing” speed of two 56k modems
I remember porn downloading so slow
I remember making a web page for a friend’s band
I remember an MP3.com
I remember when the internet was a scary, new, unregulated space
The crew is all here as we welcome the Gambinos, Marshall, Viki, and for the first time, Mickey to the studio to share their trip to Japan, what they think about gimmick theft, and share the spotlight with Jimmy Demarco, Norm Conners, Shiima Xion, and others, via phone.
