Eve Online:
Eve Online was first released in North America and Europe in May 2003. It was published from May to December 2003 by Simon & Schuster Interactive, after which CCP purchased the rights back and began to self-publish via a digital distribution scheme.] On January 22, 2008 it was announced that Eve Online would be distributed via Steam. On March 10, 2009 the game was again made available in boxed form in stores, released by Atari.
Eve is a game where you pilot your ship through the galaxy particiapating in a variety of professions and activities. Jumping star gates, warp speeding through the universe, those types of things.
When human population explosively grows 21,000 years from now, we will colonize the rest of the galaxy which will lead to wars and competition. Until a wormhole opened a gateway to a new galaxy. They built a structure around the wormhole to stabilize it until one day it was destroyed. leaving people stranded in an uncharted new world. After eons of rebuilding it is back to civilization as normal.
The player advancement is time based. so if you are learning a new skill, chances are it will take a while. Therefore log off come back later and check the progress. You fly around doing things for others in order to advance yourself and provide for the race you belong.
The game is graphics intense and is enjoyable once you start flying around shooting shit.
i lost 4 hours easily in this game and could lose more.
Chachi Says: In MMO’s this is strangely new and exciting. its not the fantasy or super hero realms. but instead you are in space. if you have the time to sit down and learn a new game. i recommend it. Until next time, Its time to set course for a new galaxy. Warp Speed ahead!
