Game 40: Combat

Combat
1977
Atari

so back in 1977, ya know the dawn of what would be known as beginning of home video game market, atari released a system that came with two controllers! something that now a days along with the game Combat.

Combat was a two player shooting game, think pong, take away paddles, add a few shiny colors and add in your choice of tanks, biplanes, or jets and you have combat.

The object, shoot your opponent and outscore them. Obstacles and hiding spaces get in the way.  however shoot the challenger and not only score a point but they spin out giiving you a chance to gain an even bigger advantage.

the replay value of this game nowadays not very high and it does get boring, back then this was gold. There was nothing like getting together with friends, slamming that cart into your woody of a console and blasting the opponent to bits. but thats just my opinion. whats yours?

Chachi Says: this game while highly underrated and not nearly as popular as the others that would follow, deserves the respect.
