Welcome back to day 5 of mario week! Its not the last day however considering that i still have 2 “mario games” to go. You’ve noticed the quotes and you’ll see why later.
However lets finish this special week up strong! I give to you Super Mario World! Packaged with and released in 1990 with the Super Nintendo this game is one of the highest ranked games from Nintendo. While the gameplay and story help, allow me to introduce you to the reason why.
This was the introduction of Yoshi, mario’s not so little dinosaur friend and companion. Hop on yoshi’s back and cruse Dinosaur island in search of Princess and Yoshi’s friends. His friends were captured and put in eggs by Bowser and his kids. Mario and Luigi just wanted a vacation but no! back to work they go.
Yoshi had been an idea at nintendo since Super Mario Bros. However due to the limitations of the NES, this idea had to wait. However since nintendo was late to the 16 bit party it gave them time to adjust and come out strong. Which they did. Like the majority of other mario games this has been remade, repackaged and re-released a ton.
Chachi Says: while i enjoyed this game Mario 3 is still my favorite from the series.
