There was a simpler time. A time where the Stoke Monkey was a friend of the Mayhem Show. A friend of Sorgatron. And a friend of good.
It was simple enough. The Stoke Monkey was brought on to help with my music endeavors to rile up the fans from stage. Then he joined us on the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Things were alright for a bit.
And while Stoke Monkey assaults and attacks my person, he makes sure to sidestep me to call out Stephen Colbert!
But finally, I’ve had enough. I’ve had a bit of footage that I’ve been sitting on ever since the 4th of July. The most patriotic of holidays! And how does the Stoke Monkey celebrate his patriotism and freedoms?
The crew is joined all show by Fatherspoon and Sick Puppy from the Podcast Award Nominated Should I Drink That Brewcast, serving up some beers and delicious homebrews all night. We are joined on the phone by Political Man of Action Chuck Roberts, as well as the almost IWC Heavyweight Champion, fresh off of going the distance in the title tournament this past weekend, “Deelicious” Jimmy Demarco! Remedy smashes a keg, we get slammed with fanmail, and Sorg’s dad?
Thanks to Podcamp Pittsburgh 3, we have been embracing new and expanded ways to reach out our media to everyone all over the internets. To that interest, we have already started posting our videos on several video sites, and in doing this, can announce that you can now subscribe to a video feed on itunes! (which will come up in searches later this week)
We have a new group consisting of myself (Sorg from CRAP), 8-bit (fromNerdz Eatin Shroomz), and emceelb. The new crew is going to be called Really Pale Gangsters (RPG), inspired by a song we all did with Dr. Espling by the same name a couple of years back that never got out.
So we decided to drop a Halloween track to celebrate the season. Check out “Dreamz” and hit us with your feedback!
This evening, when I was traversing the Southside in MY CITY, the city of Pittsburgh, I was stopped by a cop. A rather portly fellow on a motorcycle on Carson St. I was confused as to why I was stopped. I was late for my meeting. A meeting to decide the future of New Media outreach for our city. Deciding what was the next step.
But there I was. Waiting. I notice three rabid members with some sort of patriotic shirts and signs, not making it out. Finally, after a five minute, there he was. The Obama-Man. Rocking the convoy.
I expected more….
Three fans on a southside street corner? No Tanks? C’mon Obama….
Your talking to the guy that commanded tens of people at Podcamps, rap shows, and more.
The crew is back to their male dominated ways (and Mayhem Missie) fresh off of Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 with bigger and better ways to improve their shows, blogs, and twitters. But don’t forget the wrestling! We also welcomed a returning Friend of the Show, now former NWA Heavyweight Champion Brent Albright!
This was a video I had put up last Wednesday in anticipation for Podcamp Pittsburgh 3 that explains our…impact…on the Pittsburgh New Media scene. Enjoy…
Another Podcamp Pittsburgh has passed. We’re all recovering, but stay tuned for some content from this weekend very soon from our Blogs, podcasts, and Video.
This evening, DJ Lunchbox, V-Ron, and Sorgatron dropped by The Brew House for the Black Sheep Puppet Festival for the beginnings of their 24 hour event, part of a 3 week festival. We were shown a lot of the place by Mike Cuccaro, the organizer for the events. It was really cool to see some rarely seen corners of Pittsburgh in this old warehouse.
It was a pretty cool concept that each of the three teams had to make the puppets and write a play for them in 24 hours with the materials given. We checked out the gallery, including the giant one staring down lb.
