Unsung 48: Butterfly Bandits

Unsung_Ep48This week, we talk with a cancer survivor as we learn about Thyroid Cancer, and what is happening at UPMC and with the Butterfly Bandits to raise awareness, and learn more to identify it.  St. Vincent College also introduces you to their Student Emergency Fund in our contributed feature, and we check in on the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s autism friendly production of The Lion King, the Carnegie Museum of Art‘s new playground project, and events from around the area.

“Unsung” is PittsburghOnVideo.org‘s first original programming developed exclusively for the site, made possible by The Pittsburgh Foundation. A big thanks to Mangtoons for the intro as well as Pittsburgh native artist Basick Sickness for contributing the theme track to the show. Please check out what they have going on at their respective sites. New episodes of Unsung are posted every two weeks on PittsburghOnVideo.org and SorgatronMedia.com, as well as extended interviews that didn’t make it into the show in our Unsung Uncut videos!
